The Australian Dreamtime Alphabet

 The story begins here: The Australian Dreamtime Alphabet was created in spirit and delivered through matter to all humans. This is the story of how the Australian Dreamtime Alphabet came into being.

  Not so long ago Australia was a land of peaceful survival. The people of Australia lived with nature as it had been for all time. Their understanding of nature and the balance of their instinct meant that the traditional ways of the natural Australians had been part of the way of life in Australia for almost sixty thousand years The natural Australians had all they would ever need to survive and if they had a choice nothing would ever have changed that.

  Life is not always that simple. In 1787 a fleet of ships filled with some of the most sickly and impoverished people the world had ever known set sail from England. Its destiny was the peaceful shores of Australia. The leaders of England where driven by a desire to find a solution to a series of long term anger management problems that had beset their small country and though they where not fully aware of it at the time, their ships, filled with hatred and despair, where sailing directly toward the home land of the oldest the most peaceful human culture on earth.

  It was just another day in paradise for the elders of the dreamtime community when ships filled with the most hope-less, impoverished, bedraggled humans the elders had ever seen come to rest on their fertile shore. The natural Australians where peaceful people and so it was a normal part of their cultural understanding to help support and shelter those in need. The elders happily agreed to help the people on the ships knowing that one day these poor unwanted and lost souls would learn to live in the peaceful way of the dreamtime culture.

  When ever you decide to help someone less fortunate than yourself there will be an outcome. The English had put out their hand for help and the natural Australians responded as kind peaceful people. Though no one could be fully aware of how the distant future would unfold because of these events, this first cooperation between the Dreamtime elders and the English migrants was proving to be part of a more complex destiny that would culminate in the creation of the Dreamtime Alphabet. 

  In 1788 the Dreamtime elders could not have known what, if any, outcome there would be from this event but what they did know for certain is that natures Dreamtime Lore states; we are all brothers and sisters, equal as one, and as a community it is our shared responsibility to help those who need or ask for our help. The elders knew that people from all around the earth had been coming to this land for thousands of years and overtime they have blended to become part of the natural dreamtime culture on the Australian soil, this was not an unusual event in the history of Australia.

  For some people 100 years is a very long time. For others 200 hundred is incredibly long. In earth time some trees can live to be 1000 years old and in dreamtime culture which is the oldest culture on earth, 200 years is like the blink of an eye. It was during the first 200 years after the natural Australians agreed to help the sickly and impoverished people of England that the new Australians turned to bite the hand that helped them and the most barbaric tragedies ever to occur on Australian soil unfolded. These barbaric tragedies occurred primarily because the newcomers where ignorant to the ways of our Australian dreamtime spiritual traditions. 

  Like a stream of pain the flow of people continued unchecked and undaunted until one day a new generation of Australian elders stood up and said enough is enough. This constant ignorance and misrepresentation of our dignified past and our spiritual traditions must end. In the mid 1970’s the first duly elected elder statesman of Australia to publicly make a stand in honour of Australia’s sixty thousand year culture was, The Prime Minister The Honourable Gough Whitlam. He was followed in 1992 by The Prime Minister The Honourable Paul Keating who in turn was leading the way for The Prime Minister The Honourable Kevin Rudd to deliver the historic apology motion in the Australian Parliament February 12th 2008. 

  During these years hundreds of thousands of ordinary Australians began questioning how they could embrace the magic and spiritual mystique of the dreamtime. They wanted to become a contributing part of the sixty thousand year old Australian culture but they felt disconnected. They could sense their personal connection to land, the past and spirit of the dreamtime, but their homes, their cars, their jobs and their spiritual education prevented them from uniting their modern truth with the natural traditions of the Australian spiritual dreamtime culture.

  This disconnection ceased to be a problem for all Australian people when one young man who had embarked on his adult dreamtime vision quest in the late 90’s returned to his people with the story of the Dreamtime Alphabet. He explained that in his vision he saw Australia united as one people, with one culture, one history, one language and one belief. He explained that in his vision the elders of the past had shown him how this work must be done for the sake of the entire planet if we are to grow as people and learn to make sustainable living choices. At first the people of Australia where concerned because this story was unlike other Dreamtime stories they had been told before. But soon enough the people of Australia grew to accept the wisdom of change in their life and they embraced the story of the Dreamtime Alphabet as a new page in the infinite history of Australia’s Dreamtime Culture.
